Language death

Language death is a when language is no longer being used as a first language (also called mother language or native language) or a second language and so it becomes an extinct language. It should not be confused with a dead language, such as Latin, which is still spoken as a second language.

Language revival, a dead language becoming a living language again. The only widely-known example of a language being revived is Hebrew.
