The Clock Tower of Manila City Hall used to be the main way people in the Philippines set their clocks before the country got an atomic clock in 2012. These clock towers help people tell the time and act as landmarks.

Philippine Standard Time (PST; Filipino: Pamantayang Oras ng Pilipinas) is the time zone used in the Philippines. It is 8 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+8). The time zone is the same all year round because the Philippines does not observe Daylight Saving Time.[1]
