War of Attrition

The Israeli–Egyptian war of Attrition was centered largely on the Suez Canal

The War of Attrition (1967–1970) was a war between Egypt and Israel.[1] It ran from March 1969 to 7th August 1970 when the ceasefire was restored.[1] It followed the Six-Day War in 1967, when Israel won a victory and captured the Golan Heights, Gaza Strip and the West Bank.[2]
